VoLanT – Vocational Language Training for students of car repair related professions. 2008 – 1 – SK1 – LEO 05 – 00 224

Project aims at supporting innovative approaches in vocationally-orientated language learning, in specific field of Car repair, Service and Retail, through the transfer of existing innovative teaching methodologies used in the Czech republic – complex online learning management system (LMS) and blended learning methodology using 2D and 3D automotive animations in the UK. Both of these innovations will be combined. Specific vocational language content for teachers and students will be developed.

EUROPEN (European Training Firms Network) – The Slovak Centre of Training Firms (SCCF), established as one of the  SIOV’ department,  represents Slovak Training firms in the non-profit association  “EUROPEN”

·       Software EUROPEN for all Training Firms, available at CD, which makes possible to carry out international trade’s operations

·       Access to the upgraded worldwide network database of Training firms (48 counties, detailed information),

·       Upgrading of the Software EUROPEN, provides electronically  webshop

·       Software CLEARING CENTER CLIENT, whose part is also EUROPEN Practice Firms Database; it makes possible on-line communication (along with banking operations)

EuroSkills – SIOV, as a national representative in the European Skills Promotion Organisation (ESPO) acts on behalf of  Slovak VET providers; 

1. To use vocational competitions to help the EU and its member states promote and improve vocational skills.

2. To make EU countries aware of the importance of high-quality vocational skills and education.

3. To develop a series of European vocational competitions in which candidates from any EU member state can participate.

4. To ensure that the vocational competitions organised by EuroSkills accurately reflect the vocational standards required by EU member states and the EU as a whole.
